WebMay 22, 2007 · I forgot to mention when this fuse blows the transmisson acts up also. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem. I don't understand how the load leveler has anything to do with cold air not blowing through the A/C or why the trans acts up when this fuse blows. Next check the ERLS fuse, 20 amp in the underhood fuse box. It should have power on it in the Run and Crank positions. Assuming that both fuses were okay, the covers on the steering column now need to be removed. The top half unsnaps and lifts off.

I tried to ohm out the trans' connector (internal wiring) but everything reads as shorted together which should be correct per a Haynes manuel wiring diagram.
